Pizza Hut Customers Play Patch Games
Beloit, Wis. -- Patch Products Inc. is teaming up with participating Pizza Hut franchisees to bring fun Patch games to Pizza Hut customers. During October 2004, dine-in Pizza Hut customers will be able to play Patch's Malarky® and Buzzword® games before, during and after their Pizza Hut order.
The promotion will be communicated through table tents at approximately 1300 dine-in Pizza Hut locations across the United States. Each table tent will contain 25 Malarky and 25 Buzzword cards so customers can play the games while dining at Pizza Hut.
In Malarky one player, without anyone else knowing who, is given the real answer to questions that we often ask but rarely solve, like "Why are tennis balls fuzzy?" The remaining players use their imagination to develop a bluff answer, which is presented aloud.
Buzzword is an addictive game where one team has 45 seconds to solve 10 clues, and all the answers contain the buzzword. Let's say the buzzword is "ball" questions would include "Prisoner's ankle garb?" Answer - Ball and chain. "Soccer in Europe?" Answer - Football.
"Patch is excited to have the opportunity to make pizza even more FUN," says Frank Beres, Promotions Manager at Patch Products. "Both companies are committed to providing families with opportunities to play together. The whole concept of combining Patch games with Pizza Hut is what family fun is all about."
