Patch Products to Dedicate Wymer Distribution Center
Beloit, Wis. -- Game manufacturer Patch Products Inc. will hold a private dedication ceremony for its newly purchased warehouse, located at 1401 Gale Dr. in Beloit, on Tuesday, June 18. Patch will dedicate the facility the Wymer Distribution Center in honor of LeeRoy Wymer, a longtime and devoted Patch employee who passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2001.
At the dedication, Fran Patch, CEO of Patch Products, will unveil a portrait of Wymer that will hang inside the Wymer Distribution Center. The portrait will serve as a reminder of Wymer's work ethic and pride in his job, which is the foundation on which Patch stands. Patch employees, business associates, and Karen Wymer, along with family and friends of Wymer, will attend the dedication. A tour of the facility and ice cream will follow.
"It is very fitting that Lee be remembered and recognized in this fashion, says Bill Celeste, VP Purchasing at Patch. "His hard work and dedication will not be forgotten, and is an example to us all."
The Wymer Distribution Center gives Patch Products an added 52,000 sq. feet of warehouse space for its board games, puzzles, foam balls, card games and coloring books. The facility will be used to ship product to retailers nationwide.
The Wymer Distribution Center will also be used for additional parking during the Patch 2nd Annual Fun 4 All™ Toy & Game Sale, to be held August 23-24. The sale will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rock, Walworth and Jefferson counties.
The Wymer Distribution Center, along with the current Patch Distribution Center on Bartels Drive, will expand the company's total warehouse space to over 220,000 sq. feet. The Patch Worldwide office building on Inman Parkway is 32,000 sq. feet and includes a Cafeteria, Fitness Center and The Kiddie Ranch Eastside Learning Center day care.
