"PEOPLE" The Game
…Where You Get To Be The Star
Beloit, Wis. -- How would you charade Pierce Brosnan, PEOPLE Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2001? Can your spouse draw Julia Roberts on paper? With the engaging new PEOPLE Magazine Game, from Patch Products, players have the chance to reenact their favorite celebrities. The PEOPLE Magazine game brings to life over 1,000 celebrities and other notables through team play, a speedy pace and wagering.
In the PEOPLE Magazine game, players take turns in the spotlight while their teammates try to guess the identity of the famous person they're portraying. Each game card shows five names of famous individuals in each of five categories: Song, Tube, Screen, Where Are They Now? and Scoop. Players may do an impression, draw a caricature, act out a charade, or reference TV shows or movies. Mini PEOPLE magazine play pieces are collected to win. Four or more players on two teams participate and the game is intended for ages 12 & up. The suggested retail price is $25.
PEOPLE, one of the most popular magazines in the world, is read by 37 million people each week. Its audience exceeds that of any movie opening and is nearly triple that of any of the four major TV networks. PEOPLE remains the widest-reaching entertainment event in the US each week.
Currently in its 28th year, PEOPLE Magazine remains true to the editorial concept it was founded upon in 1974: nothing fascinates people more than other people-especially celebrities. PEOPLE Magazine virtually founded personality journalism and continues to practice it today with ever expanding sections and new features including Scoop and StyleWatch.
Patch Products, which obtained licensing rights to create the PEOPLE Magazine Game, is a leading manufacturer and marketer of family entertainment products. Board games, card games, puzzles and foam sports toys are the core product lines with such top-selling brands as TriBond®, Blurt!®, Mad Gab®, Malarky®, PuzzlePatch® and Zoam® Light Tracker®.
