Patch wins prestigious local business award

BELOIT, Wis.— Patch Products has been honored locally with a business award from its hometown Chamber of Commerce. At a recent banquet honoring several area businesses and individuals, Patch received the Large Business of the Year Award from the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce.

According to the Beloit Chamber, a committee of chamber board members and staff convene each year to select award recipients. The Chamber says it looks for the following when selecting the winners: “This award is given to a member who is a good civic citizen and has shown a commitment to the Greater Beloit area through either new investment (and/or) growth.”

Some past winners include: Kettle Foods, Inc., American Aluminum Extrusion., Kerry Ingredients & Flavours, ABC Supply Co., Inc.

This year’s other recipients:
•    Country Glass received the Small Business of the Year Award
•    Beloit City Manager Larry Arft received the Ken Hendricks Community Spirit Award
•    Bill Flanagan received the Chairperson’s Award
•    Steve Eldred of First National Bank and Trust and Dr. David Criswell both received the Headliner Award.
