Backyard Activities: Target Disk Relay
Divide up into teams of at least three players. Draw a circle on the ground three steps wide. This is the target. In a gym, use the center circle. Each team takes a Light Tracker® Chaser™ Disk and lines up on opposite sides, ten steps from the target. The object is for the first player from each team to throw the disk and have it stop completely inside the target. After it stops, the player runs, gets the disk and hands it to the next person in line. If their throw landed inside the target, they're out, otherwise they go to the end of the line. The first team with all players out wins.

When you have a lot of players, a faster way to play is to have everyone who misses sit out, while those who land the disk in the target stay in. The team with the last player in wins!
Younger children may want to form a target on the ground with a string or rope and then roll a Zoam® Soccer Ball instead of throwing a disk.
Don't have enough kids for teams? Try hitting the target from ten steps away, then take another step back every time. How far back can you get and still hit the target?
